Community Outreach

SMPS Dallas is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. We select organizations and fundraise for them through select events, as well as partnering with regional associations within North Texas. Our Chapter has been involved in philanthropic and civic activities by donating our time, resources, and monetary donations to organizations such as local shelters, food banks, children’s charities and community events.

Past beneficiaries have included:

The Bridge provides solutions for homelessness in the Dallas region by developing, coordinating, and delivering shelter, recovery & housing services.

Since incorporation in 1986, Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity and its contributors have served over 1,400 families and revitalized more than 25 neighborhoods. Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

The North Texas Food Bank distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties.

The Dallas Center for Architecture seeks to foster the public’s understanding of the power of architecture to enrich our city and our lives through this online resource as well as the programs, exhibits and tours that the Center presents. In addition, SMPS Dallas offers scholarships throughout the year to its members for a chance to earn an annual membership and conference attendance.
